The meeting of Tancredi and Clorinda.
An ensuing conflict is about to take place.
Detail: The narrator - duel haloed and darkened - introduces the players Tancredi and Clorinda represented by two swords.
Detail: Floating mountain set into a valknut. The valknut symbol based on a modern Norwegian compound word interpretation that meaning “knot of those fallen in battle”. Below, a barb wired swing set, set into a pool of blood.
PANEL 2 & 3
The first battle
Tancredi and Clorinda meet in battle, the swinging of their swords, represented by a blue swirling line.
PANEL 4 & 5
The second battle
The fighting become more furious, Tancredi and Clorinda become entwined.
The death scene
Tancredi again represented by sword has stuck the death blow to Clorinda.
